Pictures by Vladimir Berger

In fear of sounding cliché, I really am the happiest person in the world and very excited to share with you pictures from our photoshoot! These pictures turned out better than I could have ever wished for; thank you again, Vlad, for working your photography magic!

I was deciding whether or not I should share our engagement story, as we all know that oversharing is a big thing nowadays… but I think that this is something that I would really like to share and give you a glimpse of what to me feels like an absolute fairy tale.

I met my fiancé (Kris) two years ago in New York City outside of the Comedy Cellar. It was almost the end of our stay in the city, and with Kris flying out the following evening, he invited me out for lunch the next day. Unfortunately, that day my friend needed to report her phone stolen, but with my now fiancé offering to accompany us, we set off and enjoyed our first date in a police station of all places! After leaving New York, we kept in touch, and the rest is history.

Two years of being together later, we decided to revisit our favourite city in the world; to listen to our beloved jazz music and obviously visit the spot where we met two years ago.
We headed out to the Comedy Cellar in the perfect evening atmosphere of Greenwich Village and with the streets so full and colourful (If you've been there you know what I'm talking about when I say Greenwich is the best!).

The superb show we saw that night, also had my absolute favourite songs by Frank Sinatra played at the beginning and end. Once we were back on the street and ready to recreate how we met 2 years ago, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The people were cheering and cars honking for us, it truly felt like a scene from a movie! And of course, I happily said YES!

It just felt utterly surreal. It turned out people were even taking pictures of us (talk about free photography, right?), and I am so glad they did because they captured this extraordinary moment for us. One girl was also so kind to send us the pictures. It was the most beautiful moment in my life so far; I honestly couldn't have dreamt a more beautiful engagement!

While planning our trip, we had already decided to arrange a couple’s photo shoot in New York. This proved very handy, as we then repurposed this into an engagement shoot. So, the pictures you see are not from the actual engagement, the real ones capturing the moment we would like to save for our closest family and friends. I am beyond happy that we did the photo shoot as we absolutely love the results! I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
